Things are white and cold here as would be expected in January. But it’s warm and inviting inside the lodge!
We had the privilege to entertain several parties at the lodge through the Christmas season. It was a blessing for us to be a part of these special gatherings of family and friends. We decked the halls to make our place a merry place for the holidays.

The lodge peaks out on the hilltop above the 'Joe Breker Memorial Evergreen Forest', made famous and aptly named for our very own Joe Breker, who is very much alive by the way.
One of our crowning construction accomplishments happened in December, that is we completed our west porch roof and added some long anticipated shape and style to the lodge.

Our rooms have their numbers branded on the doors and our room keys are attached to a corresponding cattle ear tag. After all, the lodge is in a pasture!
In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan, earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone. Snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow, in the bleak midwinter, long ago. Kinda like at the lodge.
How do you make a Christmas party complete? Bring your favorite homemade treats and you will be loved by all (except the gluten free folks).
The Joe and Patty Breker family (the folks who are largely behind this whole crazy lodge thing) took a few minutes out of their busy schedule to smile for the camera!
The soon-to-be newlyweds Corey Arnold and Angela Minnich spent Christmas at the lodge with family. There are getting married on March 2nd.
Our manager Olivia Stenvold's daughter Adeline got all gussied up for a Christmas picture at the lodge. Turns out, it's a great place for portraits.
Coteau des Prairies Lodge's very first Christmas Nativity pageant was performed by the grandchildren and great grandchildren of Gordy and Bev Phillips at their family Christmas party.
You can't find a much better sledding hill in Sargent County than the very hill the lodge rests on, just ask Gideon Breker. We have the blue runs as well as the black diamonds.
Eugene Breker uses our new spotting scope (Thank you Horizon Custom Contracting!) up in the lookout to enjoy an even better view of Sargent County.
