We have planned a special beer dinner for the evening of Wednesday, November 12th. We are featuring five amazing craft beers from Summit Brewing Company (St. Paul, MN) paired with a five course dinner designed and prepared by Chef Daniel Miles from Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse (Edina, MN). Mike Lundell, Brewer from Summit Brewing will also be joining us for the evening to introduce his delicious beers.
At our Fall Beer Dinner, you will have the chance to try a one-of-a-kind beer. Summit is bringing a limited release pin (cask) of their incredible Unchained Series #17 Harvest Fresh IPA which was dry hopped with fresh Chinook hops and cask conditioned to perfection. We will tap it together at the dinner!
In addition, we will be featuring our 28 Day Dry-Aged Breker Beef. Our unique 28 day dry-aging process was developed by Coteau des Prairies Lodge in collaboration with a local butcher who processes the beef. But we begin by selecting our beef from the very best animals raised and finished on the Joe Breker and Jeff Breker farms. Our dry-aged New York strip will be served with the fourth course and we can’t wait for you to try it!

Summit Brewing Company, from Saint Paul, Minnesota, is a respected veteran brand in the American craft beer scene and has been a regional favorite for almost 30 years.
Fun Fact: Summit Brewing Company Founder and President Mark Stutrud grew up nearby us in Wahpeton and attended the University of North Dakota. He even lived in Sargent County for 6 years as a young child when his father Odin Stutrud owned and operated The Sargent County Teller! Mark moved to the Twin Cities and founded Summit Brewing Company in 1986. Mark’s cousins farm in North Dakota and they raise a variety of two-row barley for Summit’s popular Pilsener, which we will be serving at the dinner.
Chef Daniel Miles has experience in the kitchens of some of the region’s top chefs, including James Beard Award winner Tim McKee. He is currently a Sous Chef at Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse in Edina, Minnesota. Chef Daniel is returning to Coteau des Prairies Lodge after a successful beer dinner in February featuring beers from Third Street Brewhouse.
