Tune in tonight to watch the 2018 NFL Draft to see if our local home town hero Dallas Goedert will be selected by one of the 32 NFL teams in the first round. Coverage begins at 7pm. You can watch the NFL Draft on Fox Sports or ESPN. The second and third round will air tomorrow night beginning at 6pm. You might recognize the location where he and his family are holding their private draft party. 😉

If you follow college and professional football, by now you’ve probably heard about the ‘Britton Bomber’. Dallas Goedert is the tight end from SDSU who helped secure possession of the Dakota Marker Trophy for two consecutive years and he is responsible for giving NDSU Bison fans a serious case of heartburn.

Dallas has a special place in our hearts here at Coteau des Prairies Lodge. He lived in Havana as a young boy and then grew up in Britton, just across the border. He is the nephew of Patty and Joe Breker and the grandson of Gordy Phillips, our patriarch from Havana. Dallas knows his way around the lodge quite well.

Many sports analysts are projecting that Dallas will be picked in the first round. Click HERE to check out a fun news segment from last night on WDAY about the ‘Havana Hero’. Or listen to his interview HERE from yesterday with Joel Heitkamp on KFGO’s News and Views.

While we will be watching the draft here with Dallas and family, it is a private party. But just maybe you will still catch a glimpse of the celebration on live national television!
