Immerse yourself in the world of Mediterranean cuisine at Coteau des Prairies Lodge this November 15-18th. Join award-winning cooking instructors Joan and David Donatelle from Savory Pursuits for a fun food adventure.
Get hands on instruction making pasta, bread and gnocchi. Learn the time-honored secrets behind preparing authentic Italian sauces and mouth watering soups. Explore the wine regions of Italy with your taste buds. And much more!
At our Italian Culinary Retreat, you will spend plenty of time with the Donatelles over the course of 3 days at North Dakota’s premiere getaway destination. Joan and David will share their kitchen secrets from over 30 years of experience in the food and restaurant business. A lot of free time is built into the schedule for you to relax, enjoy the lodge accommodations and take in the natural beauty of the prairie surrounding the lodge.
For a true farm to table experience, you will cook with and taste the farm raised products produced by the Breker family on our farm where we own and operate Coteau des Prairies Lodge. These foods include our exclusive 28-Day Dry-Aged Breker Beef, grains and local honey. Even Breker Beer featuring our farm grown hops and local malts will be ready by then.
You will even have the unique opportunity to work along side Joan and David as kitchen and/or front house staff as they prep and execute a multiple course Italian wine dinner for up to 80 guests at Coteau des Prairies Lodge on November 17th. If you would rather experience the dinner as a dining guest, you will have the option to purchase a half price dinner ticket.
Included with your registration fee is a 3-night stay at Coteau des Prairies Lodge, admission to our Italian Culinary Retreat, all meals, and special gifts from the Donatelles and Coteau des Prairies Lodge.
