Travel + Leisure is a trusted resource for those who love life on the road, and lets face it…who doesn’t love picking up a good travel magazine and longingly scanning through the glossy images of exotic locales. There is one place on many travelers’ short list of ultimate destinations…Havana. That’s right. Havana…North Dakota! Home of Coteau des Prairies Lodge. Oh, you thought we meant the other Havana?
Havana, and frankly the state of North Dakota, garners little attention from travelers at large. In typical modest Midwest fashion, we northerners have successfully understated the beauty of our state. Case in point, we have hosted multiple individuals and couples at the lodge on their journey of traveling to all 50 states. Guess what they all had in common? North Dakota was their 50th state…and they didn’t say it was for a grand finale.
At Coteau des Prairies Lodge, we intend to change that. We are on a mission to get the word out about this wonderful place we call home. That is why there is a Coteau des Prairies Lodge in the first place.
“Every couple deserves a trip to their own personal paradise…This secluded, family-owned lodge sits atop the northernmost ridge of the Coteau des Prairies, which means it offers uninterrupted views of fields, wildflowers, and endless prairie.” – Travel + Leisure
Travel + Leisure has taken notice of Coteau des Prairies Lodge. They recommend coming to the lodge for a romantic getaway. Based on conversations we’ve had with guests who stayed here for a romantic getaway…we agree. Of course, there is something here for everyone.
